Aaqib is a founding director of RetailBook since its incorporation in 2022. He has over 25 years’ experience in banking and financial trading technology.
Aaqib led development of the platform and the business having previously been a Board member and Chief Technology Officer at Peel Hunt LLP.
He previously worked at KBC Financial Products and D. E. Shaw & Co. and was part of the Executive management team which led the successful IPO of Peel Hunt in 2021.
Nick, a chartered management accountant, joined the team in 2023 after 18 years in finance and support functions within the investment banking industry.
He was a key and influential member of the team responsible for setting up the business and gaining FCA authorisation.
Prior to joining RetailBook, Nick was a member of the finance management team at Peel Hunt LLP, overseeing regulatory reporting and liquidity.
He previously worked at UBS, Royal Bank of Scotland and Shell International Trading and Shipping Company.
Kit joined the RetailBook management team in 2022 and was instrumental in developing the platform’s functionality and building presence in the marketplace. He is responsible for commercial aspects of RetailBook including origination and execution of client mandates.
Kit previously led the delivery of retail capital markets transactions for Peel Hunt’s REX platform and has more than 25 years’ experience in the equities industry covering both business execution and support functions at Peel Hunt, Link Group and J.P. Morgan Cazenove.
Mike joined the Capital Markets team in 2024 and leads the relationship management of RetailBook clients – from issuers to investment banks, to retail investor platforms and distributors.
Prior to RetailBook, he worked at Santander for 11 years, predominantly in Madrid for the European Equity Capital Markets team, working on c.100 ECM deals.
Prior to embarking on a career in financial services, Mike was a professional rugby player for Bath and London Irish.
Leah, a member of the CISI (MCSI), joined RetailBook in May 2024 having previously been Compliance Director at retail investor platform PrimaryBid as it scaled up its business of retail inclusion in primary capital markets fundraisings via its mobile app.
She is responsible for advising the business on all aspects of compliance and regulation at RetailBook.
Leah has over 20 years' industry experience with 17 focused on regulatory compliance. Leah previously worked at Close Brothers and Barclays investment banks and held a variety of positions in trading firms with a focus on derivatives, FX, retail and online trading.
